One week from tonight, Downstairs In the Cantab Underground, Boston nightlife's next era begins. Hear my words and take heed, kids: there is no more swaggarific way to kick off that Fourth of July weekend than to kick it LEGACY style.

6:19PM - Help?

So we're going to be moving up to West Kingston to do a sustainable farming internship in the fall. Since we'll be there for the whole season, I figured I'd find out if there is much to do around there. Our only means of transportation will be our bicycles (so nothing too far, please haha).

We enjoy music mostly punk rock and ska, but we occasionally listen to folk and other stuff. We prefer veggies over meat. We like books and hiking. I'm not sure what else I could really give you that would help with ideas for things we'd like. Really, we aren't too picky, just looking for stuff to do so any sort of venue, co-op, collective, national park, etc etc would be awesome!

Thanks in advance :)

For those who do like METAL, this show is definitely for YOU! With Brendon we will be doing a nice tight 90 minute set comprised of DETHKLOK tunes, Metal Classics (Metallica, VH, SLAYER!, etc), and full versions of great songs from the Metalocalypse show.

I have 2 tickets to An Evening with Kevin Smith at The Bushnell in Hartford tonight. Show starts at 7:30. Due to a scheduling gaff with the volleyball league I play in, instead of having a bye this week (which is the whole reason I bought the tickets in the first place), I have a double-header this afternoon starting at 5, and there's no way I'd be able to make it in time for the show.

I'm asking $70, or best offer. $70 is what I paid for the tickets.

Seats are located in the Loge, Section G, on the aisle (I believe.) The Bushnell also offers FREE PARKING right across the street from the theater. I was there last weekend for Avenue Q and the acoustics for that show were very good.

Cash transactions ONLY. Must meet in a public place. I'm available to make the exchange up to 4:00PM EST today. Please reply via email to "igotoextremes@gmail.com" if interested. Cross-posted to providenceri and univ_ri.

Watertown, MA (Decorative Records) January 5, 2009 -- Boston has long been a haven for many kinds of underground and experimental music scenes--ska, punk, and grunge exports among them. The new Sky So Grey CD compilation is a smattering of loosely-affiliated bands and solo artists from the Boston area whose common denominator is creating introspective "dark" music.

Ocean State Talent is a free forum for Rhode Island, musicians, dancers, comedians, etc. Make a post and let RI know about your talent and be sure to let everyone know where you'll be performing in the area. You need to sign up for an account (It's the only way to keep out the spambots)to see all the forums and options, but we don't use or sell your email address. Check us out. Thanks!

8:20PM - Firewood

Does anyone have firewood that they do not want? I just moved into a house with a beautiful fireplace, but do not have the money to buy firewood. I am mostly looking for logs, but scrap lumber may do also as long as it is not treated.

12:45AM - Public transportation in RI?

Hello, I may be moving to Rhode Island soon, but I'm clueless about the state!

I'm wondering about public transportation: How easy is it to get around the state if one does not drive? Two specific places I need information about are Providence (Brown University) and Newport. Is there good bus/train/whatever service in either of these places? How about public transportation connecting these two places?

Thanks for any help!
